One:
Roots twine around the narrow trail
        And twist our ankles -
        Who says it's easy getting
To cypress giants and gentle brook?
Our camping packs are heavy but
        Our steps are light -
        Beyond the ancient forest lies
        The waterfall.
    Two:
        The heavy woods suddenly transmit
The rush of cascading water. Hurrying out from
        The thick green growth
I see the pouring of the pool.
I wipe my sweat and call my son:
        Come take a picture!
In life how often do you get
        Your heart's desire?
